Obituary for Roberta "Bobbie" Earline Farmer

Roberta “Bobbie” Farmer, 82, left the company and arms of her family to return to her Heavenly Father June 21, 2020. Roberta Earline Jessen was born July 11, 1937 to proud parents Clarence and Earline. Family was everything to Bobbie, and she was blessed with 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Roberta married Thomas Peyton Farmer December 16, 1988 and they shared a love that would last forever. Tom and Bobbie enjoyed many adventures with their friends Ralph and Innez, especially BINGO. Bobbie was the Matriarch and glue that kept her family together. She cherished every moment she shared with her family. Her family always came first and she surrounded herself with loved ones every chance she was able. She continuously hosted get-togethers in her home, as well as camping and fishing trips. Her house always felt like home.
Fred Meyer department stores were honored to have her as a Regional Training Director for nearly 30 years. Bobbie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and fulfilled and magnified many callings. She provided many services over her lifetime and delighted in the opportunity to have candy making classes for her Relief Society sisters. She had undeniable faith in and a testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Bobbie loved unconditionally without judgement, gaining friends of many backgrounds. Our mother, grandmother and friend had numerous Christ-like attributes, and was an example and pillar of light to us all.
Roberta was preceded in death by her brother (Donny Jessen); her parents; son (Terry Vinzant); and husband (Thomas). She is survived by her children: John Otto, Kathryn (Lyle) Vanosdall, Jim (Pam) Kiser, Robin (Savannah) Vinzant; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM, Saturday, June 27, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 927 Ruth Lane in Nampa with a viewing from 10:00 to 12:15 PM prior to the services. Condolences may be expressed at 208-467-7300
