Obituary for Patricia Ann Cooper

Patricia “Trish” Cooper (Flock) – Trish Cooper passed away at her Nampa, Idaho, residence on May 24, 2019. Trish leaves behind a brother (Kenneth Flock); sister (Nancy Lewis); daughter (Nicole White); sons (Dusty and Ross Cooper); seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 7 at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, 76 6th Street North in Nampa, Idaho. Following the service, the family would invite those close to Trish to join them in a celebration of life at the Indian Creek Steakhouse located at 711 Main Street, Caldwell, Idaho.

Trish was born in Vallejo, California, on August 1, 1953, to Robert “Bob” and Ruby Flock. Trish was the third born child, just behind her older sister Paula. Trish was a farm girl, and life on the farm was something that defined who she was; a no nonsense, straight forward, country girl. Trish’s personality was evident as a young child. She had no trouble speaking up for herself. If you ever found yourself wondering what she was thinking, then you simply hadn’t taken the time to listen; because everyone knew Trish had an opinion! Trish moved to Kuna, Idaho, in 1958 where her family farmed through 1961. Thereafter, the family moved to Harper, Oregon, where they found yet another venture; ranching. After a downturn in cattle prices in 1963, she returned to the Treasure Valley where she remained through the duration of her life.

In 1970, Trish married Jerre Pavelec. The following year, Jerre and Trish were blessed with a beautiful little girl, Nicole White (Pavelec). Trish found work at the Nampa-Meridian Irrigation District where she retired after forty-two years of loyal service. Trish and Jerry continued to reside in Meridian through their divorce in 1980. In February 1982, Trish married Kenneth “Ken” Cooper. Ken and Trish settled in Nampa, Idaho, where they remained through 1998. While residing in Nampa, two wonderful boys joined the family; Dusty and Ross Cooper. Dusty arrived on November 18, 1982; and three years later, Ross arrived on January 25, 1985. Ken and Trish raised the boys in Nampa until they decided that life was just too busy on Amity Road. Ken and Trish bought a dairy farm in Homedale, Idaho. Ironically, after almost 25 years, Trish once again found herself on a farm. Trish loved life on the farm, and she very much enjoyed the community of Homedale. She was active with the boys as they participated in FFA and the 4-H programs in Notus, Homedale and Marsing. Ken and Trish continued to live in Homedale through their divorce in 2017.

In 2017, Trish relocated to Nampa, Idaho, and she was active with the Silvercrest Community. Trish devoted her time to Project Linus. She loved to quilt, and she found great pleasure knowing her quilts went to such a wonderful cause. Trish spent the last few years of her life traveling and enjoying time with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Trish’s children have asked that donations be made to Project Linus (C/O Janet Walter, 12044 West Precept Lane, Kuna, Idaho 83634).

Our hearts are broken at the thought of the world without you mom. We love you; we miss you; and we will hold you in our hearts forever. Nicole, Dusty and Ross
