Obituary for Joe & Heidi De Leon

Life for Heidi and Joe Paul De Leon came to a tragic end on
Sunday, January 6, 2019. They leave behind a large extended family.
Heidi and Joe were the caring, committed and devoted parents of four daughters. They were family oriented and took great pride in their home. They taught their children the values of hard work, honesty and loyalty. Family always came first. They loved life and lived every moment to the fullest.
Heidi was beautiful. She loved to dance and always had a ready smile. She was outgoing and welcoming to everyone.
Joe will be remembered as a kind brother, loving father, caring friend, handsome son, hard worker, and gifted wrestler. He was highly skilled in mathematics which prepared him for all aspects of technology.

Viewings will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 10 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1309 Park Ave, Nyssa, Oregon AND from 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 11 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12 at 9:30 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1985 N Black Cat Rd, Meridian, Idaho AND again at 1:00 p.m. at the Church, 1309 Park Ave, Nyssa, Oregon. Love is eternal and binds us together with cords that can never be broken.

Heidi RaNae DeLeon (11/28/78-01/06/19) was born to Larry & RaNae Forsberg on November 28, 1978 in Logan, Utah. She has three brothers- Mike, Justin, & Eric. Heidi graduated from Nampa High School. She attended Idaho State University and Boise State University. She was married to the love of her life, Joe DeLeon. Heidi & Joe are survived by their four beautiful girls- Kelsey, Kianna, Lynsey, & Zelie. As is evidenced by the number of friends, family, & loved ones they have, Heidi & Joe’s devotion to people is apparent. There is no doubt about the affection & dedication that Heidi & Joe had for their girls. Anybody who knows their girls, can see how they emulate their parents. Heidi was compassionate, considerate, adventurous, upstanding, spirited, dedicated, creative, passionate, & a myriad of other qualities that are reflected in the girls.

Heidi’s creativity was reflected in her art, gardening, remodeling of their home, teaching, & paper routes as a young lady (she figured out a more efficient way to deliver papers- even if it meant driving on the wrong side of the road...on the sidewalk...sometimes with her headlights off...).

Her relationship with her family was evidenced in the number of workplaces she shared with them. She worked with her dad- Larry, at MCMS; she worked with Eric at Papa Murphy’s & MCMS; she worked with Joe at Plexus, as well. If you can work with family- you can work with anyone. Evidently, Heidi really liked her family (if she was willing to work with them in addition to the time she spent with them at home).

As a child, Heidi always hoped she would have a sister. So...you can imagine how devastated she was when she found out Eric was the last sibling. While Heidi tolerated her three brothers and never had any sisters, her desires would not be left unmet. Ultimately, Heidi (& Joe) would be blessed with four incredibly amazing girls.

Heidi will be remembered as a daughter, sister, wife, & Mama Bear.
