Obituary for Janice Marie Edmunds

Janice Marie (Wills) Edmunds, 74 of Shoshone, Idaho went home to be with Jesus on November 25, 2018 from results sustained in a horrific car accident. Janice was born February 7, 1944 to Ralph A. and Iva M. (Hurn) Wills in Callaway, Nebraska. She was the second of seven children.
Janice met her true love James Ray Edmunds in Nampa on a blind date and that is when “the true love story” began. After a short courtship, she and James were married on October 19, 1961. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 7, 2001. Janice leaves behind her husband of 57 years; three children: Rebecca Sue (Jay) Ralls, Lynette Rae (John) Griggs and David Edmunds; 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Janice began her career early in her life in the insurance industry. She was well known for her good work. When she and her husband retired they bought a motorhome and began to travel around the country. At several places they were “camp hosts”. In March, they sold their motorhome and bought their retirement home in Shoshone. Janice was big on attending and cheering on her grand and great-grandchildren in their many different sports events and activities.
Janice was a great cook. It is said that she made the best fired chicken ever! She was a seamstress and made a lot of her children’s clothes. She made many items from weddings to the care bears she made for her grandkids. She had a beautiful voice. She has sung for weddings, funerals and live Nativities. She loved to go fishing. She had so many great qualities and made so many great memories for her family. She will be greatly missed!
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, December 3, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa with a viewing from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the services.
