Obituary for Adam Joseph Miller

With heavy hearts, we announce that Adam Miller, age 37, our most beloved dad, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, family member and friend passed suddenly on Friday, March 6, 2020 from a workplace accident.
Those who knew Adam, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.
Adam spent his early childhood in Wenatchee, WA and moved with his family to Twin Falls, ID at the age of 7. He attended Morningside Elementary, O’Leary Junior High and Twin Falls High School graduating in 2001. He played saxophone in the band and LOVED to run, and ran track and cross-country. He ran track in the winter/spring and cross-country in the fall every year beginning in 7th grade. He ran in several Simplot Games with his relay team (4X4) always ending in the top. He became a star athlete and enjoyed every minute training with teammates and his beloved coaches. He was crazy, but so loved! There was never a dull moment with Adam…
After high school, Adam served a two-year mission in Frankfurt, Germany for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the people he served and those he served with. His experiences and memories from his mission were some of his fondest and he believed he was his best self. He was an excellent missionary. He still spoke fluent German and loved the language. Eleven years following his mission, his sister, Jenessa, served her mission in the Frankfurt mission as well. Adam and Jenessa shared a special bond because of Germany
After his mission and subsequent marriage, he studied radiology and became a radiology technician. He loved working with his hands and loved the outdoors and also worked in construction, manufacturing and landscaping.
Adam was the father of three wonderful children, who he loved and adored. He was a great dad and his three kids were his best friends.
Adam had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and His Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His testimony never wavered amid difficulties or hardship. He was also serving others and doing missionary work even until his death. He was an Elder in the Melchizedek Priesthood. He had various church callings and responsibilities but loved working with the Young Men the most. Adam LOVED to serve and it has been said that the more inconvenient for him, the better!! He loved people and helping people. He was a great friend, loyal and non-judgmental.
Even in death, Adam chose to serve as an organ donor. We were honored to be able to respect his wishes and went through the organ donation process with him. He was able to provide gifts to at least 8 recipients at least 4 of which were prepped for surgery and ready to receive his heart, liver and kidneys on Sunday morning. We were able to participate in his “Walk of Honor” where all available hospital staff lined the halls as we followed his bed to surgery. What an incredible experience and his last gift of service.
Adam will be missed every day by his children: Cameron, Patrick and Liberty; his father Stephen and his mother Shelly; his sister Megan and brother-in-law Aaron Barborka and their children Henry and Lorea; his sister Gwendolyn (Jenessa) and brother-in-law Kallan Randall and their children James and Oliver; his sister Caitlyn; his grandparents George and Valerie Miller; Leigh Harrington-Miller and Braydon Harrington, his loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many, many great friends and coworkers.
We know that Adam is now with his Grandparents Gwendolyn and Richard Talbot, Great Grandparents Joseph and Florence Levene, Great Grandma Talbot (Pearl) and Great Nana (Marie Fox) and was welcomed into loving arms. What a reunion!
His funeral will be held on Saturday, March 14 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 18463 Northside Blvd, Nampa, ID 83687 at 11am. The family will greet friends with a viewing from 10am to 10:45am before the funeral. Interment will follow at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa, Idaho.
