Our sassy, beloved mother, and grandmother Vera L. Floyd, passed away peacefully April 15th, 2026 of natural causes in her own home, surrounded by her adoring family. She was 93 years young. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and eternal companion, Whitney T. Floyd. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple and married for 53 years.

Also departed, are her parents and all of her 13 siblings. She was born on December 30, 1932 to Warren Monte Van Sickle and Lenore Lillian Wellard in American Falls, Idaho. She was the 12th of their 14 children.

Vera is survived by her ten children, Terrill (Brenda), Clarisse (Randy), Victoria, Clifford (Carla) , Julie (Lane), Aaron (Christina), Steven, Ellise (Devin), Laura (Robert) and Diane (Casey). As well as endless posterity! Whit and Vera moved to Nampa in 1968 from Blackfoot and lived here until their deaths. Vera was currently a member of the Nampa 30th Ward in the East Stake. After Whitney's death, Vera served a 2 year mission to the Church History Library in SLC, which she thoroughly loved. She was a tremendous missionary in her adult life, who loved sharing the gospel and was instrumental in many lives for good.

She loved oil painting, sewing, family history, serving in the temple, dancing with dad, growing and preserving her own food and was a wonderful cook. She was a faith filled woman who taught her children and grandchildren to love the Lord. She will be greatly missed by all of those whose lives she lovingly touched.

A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, April 23rd, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel located at 83 N Midland Blvd, Nampa, for family and friends with no other public ceremonies to follow.
