Obituary

Tarissa Marie Fawn Piper Tarissa was born 14 September 1993 in Nampa, Idaho, where she grew up. Her special youth memories surrounded baseball, Girl Scouts and scout camps. Also, Tarissa enjoyed Mother-daughter campouts with mud tug-a-war. Her Girl Scout camp had horses; she was thrilled to go and worked hard to earn her way to attend that camp. It is through Girl Scouts, she learned about hard work. Tarissa worked as a housekeeper and wasn't afraid to get into a job and just do it. Tarissa graduated from high school with a GED. She played the violin for 2-3 years in the school orchestra during her pre-teen years. She was determined to learn how to play the violin as playing the violin ran in the family, from grandpa to mom to her. Tarissa was engaged to be married. Tarissa's family stories included a prayer basket that helped her bond & develop a friendship with her stepdad. We would write prayers to put them in the basket, then read our prayers together. Tarissa rekindled and relied on God over the last few years. She prayed for her son and daughter, for strength to handle challenges; and felt her prayers were heard. Tarissa loved God. It was in elementary school she met the missionaries; and through this group and her mother, she learned about God. Tarissa's hobbies involved gardening; she had beautiful flower gardens. Other favorite pastimes were related to collecting wind chimes. She also appreciated antiques for their historical aesthetics. Tarissa was a hands-on mom and loved spending time doing fun activities with her children. Her personality reflected how creative, vibrant and involved she was with her children. Honestly blunt, but intensely caring was an endearing characteristic. Tarissa was blunt because she cared so much. She would say it how it was! Some special stories to be remembered were when Tarissa camped as an adolescent. She would lug big logs uphill. Tarissa was determined and a hard worker. One of her clients stated how much she was really going to miss Tarissa, because she was really good at her job, dedicated and thorough; she didn't know how she could replace her. Tarissa worked hard and we celebrated her sobriety. She desperately wanted to help her brother and family with their sobriety. Tarissa wanted them to get on the right path to have a good life and be happy. She was their cheerleader to gain a strong family connection.

Tarissa is survived by parents: Mother Jennifer (Scott) Roberts: Father James (Tammatha) Hicks; Step Dad Douglas Knibbe, Fiancé Michael, her children; Collin and Amirah Piper, Grandparents; Jonathan & Mary Piper and Sandra Faye Lang, Siblings; Andrew piper, Jordan Knibbe, Jason Knibbe, Carter Knibbe, Daylynn Evans Roberts, Mathew Bell, Robert Bell, Zach Hicks, Kammiron Hicks, James Hicks II, Desirae Rodriguez, as well as many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
