Steven Reed Lambson, 70, passed away on April 15th, 2026, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born in San Fernando, California on February 29th, 1956, to Kenneth and Jean Lambson (that's right, a leap year baby!). They later moved to Cupertino, where he enjoyed attending Cupertino High School, track and field, and participating in scouting. He also attended De Anza College.
After moving to Utah to attend Brigham Young University, Steve met Allyson Kay Pett, and they were later married on August 15th, 1981, in Oakland, California.
Following his marriage to Allyson, Steve continued living in Provo, Utah, and they welcomed their first child, Tyler Steven Lambson, on November 25th, 1983.
In 1986, Steve relocated to Tracy, California, and he and Allyson greeted their daughter Erin Elizabeth Lambson on December 1st, 1986.
After moving to Concord, California, in 1987, Steve and Allyson welcomed their third child, Zachary Paul Lambson, on May 15th, 1991.
In 2018, Steve moved again to Idaho so that he and Allyson could be closer to their growing number of grandchildren.
He enjoyed volunteer work at the Bishop's Storehouse, caring for the three pet goats in his backyard, teaching in various positions at church, singing, and Jeopardy.
Steve spent his professional career working in Facilities Management, primarily at public school districts including Mt. Diablo, Alameda, and South San Francisco Unified in California.
He was beloved by his staff and made extra effort to assist those who were in need.
Steve was also an accomplished athlete who loved playing basketball and spent many hours watching his favorite sports teams.
Over the last several years, Steve was additionally an integral member of a cancer support group, which helped him immensely, and his family is grateful to its members for providing comfort through this turbulent time.
Steve was funny, kind, and a beloved father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife Allyson, sons Tyler and Zachary, daughter Erin, two grandsons, five granddaughters, and three beloved pet goats.
Preceding Steve in death are his father Kenneth, mother Jean, and sister Pamela.
Funeral and Memorial Services will be held on April 25th, 2026, at 11:00 am at 927 Ruth Lane, Nampa, Idaho.
Burial site services will be held on April 27th, 2026, at 1pm at Dry Creek Cemetery, Boise, Idaho.
Funeral services provided by Zeyer Funeral Chapel.
