Obituary

STANLEY O. TROMBURG

March 21, 1934 – April 10, 2025

Stan was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, to Rev. Henry and Mary Tromburg. When Stan was 7, the family moved from Canada to Dickenson, North Dakota, and on to Oakes, North Dakota, where his father was a pastor. The family moved one final time to Nampa, Idaho, where Stan attended high school and then college at Northwest Nazarene.

Upon graduation, Stan received his bachelor's degree in education. He began teaching in Boise, Idaho, and settled at Capital High School, where he retired in 1992 after 32 years. He taught literature, photography, and yearbook. Stan also started a photography business from home, taking wedding photos and special events. When Stan closed the photo business, he began working at Idaho Helicopters in Boise until 2000.

Stan is survived by his wife, Sue, and Stan's children: Dean Tromburg, Keith (Jane) Tromburg, Gayla (Dave) Vining, and Lois (George) Marck. His two stepdaughters: Nikki (Mike) McKinsey and Tiffany Miller. His siblings are Earl Tromburg and Pearl Kreps, as well as his cousin Rich (Gwen) Green. Stan had nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, as well as many loved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Henry and Mary Tromburg, and six of his siblings: brothers Herman Tromburg, Clarence Tromburg, John Tromburg, and Edgar Tromburg, and sisters Violet Johnson-McCombs and Grace Pettis-Brewster.

Viewing will be held at Zeyer Funeral Chapel in Nampa on April 25th from 11:30 to 1:00.

Interment will be held at Meridian Cemetery on April 25th at 2:00 P.M.

We were blessed to have him with us for 91 years. He will be greatly missed in our world.
