Shelbie Suzanne Scovill

Shelbie Suzanne (O’Dell) Scovill, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away peacefully in her sleep in Indian Springs, Nevada, on August 21, 2026.

Shelbie was born on September 24, 1971, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Jerry G. O’Dell and Sudella K. Lamp. She spent most of her adult life in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Shelbie was one of a kind. She was incredibly funny, beautiful, big-hearted, and had a way of making people laugh and feel loved. She had a big personality and an even bigger heart. She loved big hair, beautiful eyelashes, fishing, and finding treasures at thrift stores. As a cosmetologist, she loved making people feel beautiful and was happiest when she could be creative.

Her greatest love, however, was her boys, Brock and Johnny. They were not only her sons, but her best friends and her whole heart. She loved them more than life itself, and the bond they shared was incredibly special.

Shelbie also loved her big, blended family. She was surrounded by brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends, many of whom she considered family in every sense of the word. She had a gift for making people feel like they belonged.

One of Shelbie’s last adventures was taking a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon the day before she passed. She said it was absolutely amazing—a beautiful memory to hold onto and a fitting reminder of how much she loved experiencing life.

Shelbie was preceded in death by her father, Jerry G. O’Dell; step-mother; Sarah R. O’Dell; her brothers, Jimmy L. O’Dell; and Jeremy S. O’Dell; and her sister, Lisa M. Vollbrecht.

Shelbie is survived by her two sons, Brock W. O’Dell; and Eric “Johnny” Balls; her granddaughter, Reagan O. Yocham; her mom, Sudella Lamp, her step dad, Fred Lamp of Buhl, Idaho; her brothers, Randy (Tanya) O’Dell of Marsing, Idaho; Melvin (Debbie) O’Dell of Nampa, Idaho; Shannon O’Dell of Denver, Colorado; Michael O’Dell of Middleton, Idaho; Jerry O’Dell of Spokane, Washington; Chuck (Patty) Ward of Nampa, Idaho; and Brad (Teresa) Ward of Nampa, Idaho; her sisters, Angie (David) Agenbroad of Nampa, Idaho; Shawna Coates of Nampa, Idaho; and Becky (Troy) Young of Middleton, Idaho; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends who she loved as family.

Shelbie will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her laughter, her beauty, her big heart, and her unforgettable personality will live on in the people she loved and the memories she left behind.

She was loved deeply, and she will never be forgotten.

Services will be held at Zeyer Funeral Chapel on October 10th, 2026 at 11:00am.
