Ryan
Dunn
Apr 13, 1999 — Aug 6, 2022
Ryan Michael Dunn, 23, suffered a fatal motorcycle accident on Saturday, August 6, 2022. He was born on April 13, 1999, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, joining two older brothers and later a sister who would complete the family of six. Ryan spent his first six years in Idaho Falls, Idaho, before moving to Kuna, Idaho, with his family in 2005. Ryan attended Reed Elementary, Kuna Middle School, and Kuna High School. He graduated in 2017. After high school Ryan moved to Nampa with his best friend Eric Plimmer and his family. Ryan and Eric spent many hours together working on cars or motorcycles, floating Indian Creek, and just hanging out. Eric was a true friend and more like a brother to Ryan and we are grateful Ryan had such a great friend in his life. There are many other friends and family who enriched Ryan's life and we are so grateful for their influence in his life as well. Ryan was truly a self-made man, educating himself on many subjects. He loved cars, especially older E36 BMWs. He worked hard to learn all he could and worked as a mechanic for Tune Tech for the first year after high school. He would later take a position with Trinity Trailers as a parts salesman and worked there up until his death. He enjoyed his job and those he worked with. Ryan recently found a passion for dirt bikes and quads. He loved riding and tinkering with them. He was always working to improve them. Most of the time you could find him in the shop working on his cars or motorcycles. He also had big dreams, whether it was to run his own business someday, race cars, or live a simpler life in Costa Rica. He was a compassionate young man who would stop to help anyone in need. He rescued some kittens he found at his workplace and adopted one himself. We have many wonderful memories of Ryan to sustain us until we see him again. He was funny, and his mom said he was Ricky Bobby because he loved to tease that he wanted to "go fast," as later evidenced by his speeding tickets. Ryan was always an active young man. He was riding a scooter by the time he was two years old and then it was on to longboards, motorcycles, and cars. He was always looking for another car to buy and fix up. He had more cars in his short life than some have in their whole lives. He wasn't afraid to try new things. As a freshman in high school, he decided to play lacrosse which he had never done before. He went all in, working hard to learn the game. He loved playing it and we loved watching him. Ryan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is survived by his parents James and Tammy Dunn; brothers Devin, Dillon, and Dillon's wife Emma; sister Shayla Dunn; nephew James Dunn; and grandmothers Geraldine Turner and Marian Darling. He is preceded in death by his Grandpa George Turner and Grandpa George Darling. We know we will see Ryan again and be together as an eternal family. We find comfort in knowing that his grandpas were there to wrap their arms around him and welcome him home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 12 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd, Nampa with a viewing from 12:00 to 1:00 PM prior to the services. Burial will take place at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 13, in the Ammon Cemetery, 5226 E Sunnyside Rd, Ammon, Idaho 83406 A ZOOM link has been provided for family and friends who are unable to attend the service.
