Russell Leroy Eller

Russell L. Eller (79) of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away Monday, August 3rd, 2026. Russell was born in Twin Falls on August 13th, 1946, to Russell L. Eller and Willa G. Eller. He grew up in Kimberly, Idaho, with three brothers and one sister enjoying hunting, fishing, and sports and graduating from Kimberly High School in 1964.

Russell met the love of his life, Vicki Dillon, in December of 1963 and took her on their first date after one of Russell’s basketball games. Russell and Vicki were married on July 15th, 1967, in Twin Falls, Idaho. They moved to Utah in 1967, where Russell worked as an accountant and Vicki worked as a cosmetologist. In May of 1971, Russell and Vicki moved to Mountain Home, Idaho. Shortly after moving to Mountain Home, they were blessed with their first child, Jeremi. In May of 1972, Russell and Vicki moved from Mountain Home and settled in Twin Falls. In July of 1973, they were blessed with their second son, Brandon. Once retired, Russell and Vicki began traveling as they always wanted to do together. They were married for 55 years.

Russell enjoyed spending time with his friends, competing in men’s league softball and city league basketball for many years, collecting golf balls, and bringing home bags of books from second-hand bookstores. His best moments were spent with his family. Russell loved watching his children and grandchildren compete in sports and never missed an opportunity to spend the weekends golfing with Vicki. Russell loved Vicki so much. He wasn’t shy to share stories about Vicki Lee, and all be it, some were known to not be true.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, his wife (Vicki Eller) of Twin Falls, Idaho, his brother (Larry Eller) of Niceville, Florida, and his brother (Rocky Eller) of Twin Falls, Idaho. Russell is survived by his sister Dixie Lee Harper (Willard) of Osceola, Missouri, his brother Gary Eller (Janet) of St. Augustine, Florida, his son Jeremi Eller of Twin Falls, Idaho, his son Brandon Eller (Amy) of Caldwell, Idaho, his grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank the staff and residents at Meridian Meadows and KeyStone Hospice for the care and support they consistently offered Russell during these last five months. They embraced his sense of humor and his funny t-shirts and honored his love for sweets.
