Rusanne
Jones
Apr 2, 1953 — May 11, 2026
Rusanne Jones peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father through the grace of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 11, 2026, with the promise of eternal peace.
Rusanne was born on April 2, 1953, in Greeley, Colorado, to Russell E. Jones and Marjorie J. Burrell Jones. During her early childhood, the family moved frequently because of her father's work before settling in Nampa in 1960, where her father became manager of Montgomery Ward. She attended grade school in Nampa until the family later moved to a farm near Lake Lowell. There, Rusanne attended a small three-room schoolhouse serving grades one through six before moving on to middle and high school, graduating from Vallivue High School in 1971.
Known affectionately as "Rustie," she proudly considered herself a tomboy. She loved the outdoors, treasured her years in 4-H, and played drums in the school band. Rusanne carried fond memories throughout her life of family Christmas celebrations, road trips across the West, and especially time spent at her granddad's ranch in Colorado. She loved classic rock music, especially The Beatles, and cherished the spirit and music from the Woodstock era.
Rusanne welcomed her first son, Brian Richard Monson, on February 27, 1972. She later married Richard Houston Wade on December 7, 1974, and together they lived in Marsing before settling in Caldwell. Their son, Adam Nicholaus Wade, was born on January 24, 1977. With Rusanne's blessing, Rick adopted Brian later that same year, making the family whole. Though the marriage ended in 1983, Rusanne moved to Nampa in the country near the airport and tried the best she knew how to raise and love her sons.
On March 3, 1985, Rusanne was baptized at Grace Episcopal Church, where her faith in Christ became an enduring source of strength and comfort throughout her life.
Her father was her hero and closest friend, and she faithfully called him every day. She deeply cherished her Irish heritage from her father's side of the family. Rusanne also loved Country Western and Native American culture and treasured camping adventures with her mother and Pa Pulley throughout Idaho, especially in the beautiful mountains and rivers surrounding Garden Valley and the Middle Fork of the Payette River. Among her happiest memories were fishing trips with her father in Depoe Bay and family visits to the Oregon coast with Russ and Audrey Jones.
Rusanne excelled in many occupations over the years, including work with Simplot, Ada County, and Idaho road construction projects as a flagger. She found special fulfillment working as a case worker for Ada County under the mentorship of Gloria Greco, where she completed her studies and earned her paralegal license. She later married Victor Pillar Paez in September 1998, though the marriage ended a few years later.
Rusanne was a gifted cook who loved preparing meals for those she cared about, especially Mexican food. More than anything, she loved her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were always topics of conversation.
Despite many years of health struggles, including epilepsy and other medical challenges, Rusanne remained brilliant intellectually, resilient, and deeply principled on her values. She strongly believed in the importance of the civic responsibility to vote. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now free from pain and struggles and reunited in Heaven with her Savior Jesus Christ and loved ones who passed before her.
Rusanne was preceded in death by her mother Marjorie and stepfather Wayne Pulley; her father Russell and stepmother Audrey Jones; and her nephew Neil Jones.
She is lovingly survived by her sons Brian and Nick Wade; granddaughters Alexis Morgan Isaacs and husband Matt, Amber Nichole Wade, and Ashley Ann Wade; grandson Abel Joseph Wade; and great-grandsons Malakai and Micah Isaacs; brother Gary and Cheryl Jones; nephew Mark Jones; along with other extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Dolores and Jose Guerrero and Claudia Romero for their kindness, compassion, and care during Rusanne's final years.
Funeral services will be held on June 3, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, located at 411 10th Ave South in Nampa, followed immediately by a procession in Parrish Hall. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
