Ray
Lambeth
Mar 14, 1917 — Oct 26, 2022
Ray Lambeth (nee Boles), 105, passed away October 26, 2022 surrounded by family in Nampa, Idaho. Ray was born on March 14, 1917, to Newt D. and Nancy Jane Boles (nee Ray) in Taneyville, Missouri. She had 5 brothers and 2 sisters. As a young woman, she enjoyed attending local dances where she played the piano. It was there where she met Chet Lambeth, who played the fiddle. They eloped in Harrison, Arkansas in 1935, and they enjoyed 72 years of marriage before Chet passed. Although she traveled all over and lived in California and the Pacific Northwest, she considered Taney County her home. She made friends wherever she went and receiving mail and phone calls from her friends was the highlight of her day. Ray liked to fish, crochet, knit, and play the piano. She loved to share stories with everyone she met and was a contributing historian for the White River Valley Historical Society of Taney County, Missouri. She was a member of the Lioness Club and Eastern Star. She loved her large family and made time to give words of encouragement and express her love to anyone who visited. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chet; and her two sons Joe and Jay. She is survived by her daughter Pat, and had 14 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, 38 great-great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandchild. A memorial service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, November 5 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 6111 Birch Lane, Nampa, Idaho. She will be buried in Garrison Cemetery in Garrison, Missouri. I lieu of flowers, please consider sending a donation to The Hope Foundation (the parent company for Harrison's Hope in Meridian, ID). The Hope Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was established to provide resources that go beyond the normal scope of the hospice benefit, "Redefining Hope" for patients receiving hospice care. Write a check to The Hope Foundation, and mail to: Hospice Partners of America, 3021 Lorna Road, Birmingham, AL 35222. You will receive a receipt for your donation via mail.
