Ralph
Ball
May 25, 1938 — Aug 3, 2021
Ralph Lloyd Ball 1938-2021 Star, Idaho - Ralph Lloyd Ball, 83, born in Melba, Idaho, to Lloyd Bristol Ball and Oleta May Mooney, passed away peacefully in his love-filled home. He is survived by his sweet bride, Lorraine Brady Ball. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Feb 14, 60 years ago. Their nine children have been reared and bathed in kindness, wholesome recreation, and spiritual guidance. Ralph and Lorraine are the perfect love story. In the hours and moments before Ralph's passing through the veil into the Paradise of our Heavenly Father, his 8 living children, 50 grandchildren, and 51 great grandchildren reached out to express an outpouring of love for a truly Christlike man of faith and devotion. Ralph was born into humble circumstances in a small farm home. He was a dreamer who welcomed challenges, set lofty goals, and worked with gusto to accomplish miraculous outcomes. Despite a severe and austere childhood, he rose up, practicing self-discipline and self-improvement to become a shining example of fatherhood, and devotion as a husband and provider. In business, Ralph was once the founder and CEO of National Benefit Administrators, and later, Brookstone Village Assisted Living. As a pilot, Ralph loved flying his Beechcraft Bonanza in his younger years. Ralph served his Lord and Savior with vigor in every capacity in which he was called to serve. He served an honorable two-year mission in the (then-named) Gulf-States Mission, two years after being baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at age 18. Over the years, his church-related service has included serving as a Young Men President/Boy Scout leader, Bishop, and in Stake and Mission Presidencies. He also served on a committee to open the San Diego Temple. Just a few years ago, he served a couples mission with Lorraine in Idaho. Lorraine and Ralph have been serving the last four years as ordinance workers in the Boise and Meridian Temples. Ralph focused on family, church service, and working hard. His legacy is his family, which he cherished dearly, and they him. His memorial and funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, August 6, 2021 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 484 South Main, Star, Idaho. The open casket viewing will begin at 1:30 p.m. Perry Zeyer is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
