Obituary for Morgan Francis Reche
Morgan Francis Reche, beloved husband, father, and grandfather of Melba, Idaho, passed peacefully away at a care facility in Nampa, Idaho, on June 4, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Mique Camille Reche'. Morgan was born in Loma Linda, California, on August 14, 1936, to Katherine Margrethe Rasmussen and Walter Morgan Reche of Landers, California. Morgan spent several years as a fireman for Yucca Valley and as a deputy sheriff for the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department. He was a volunteer fireman in many cities, including Melba.
Morgan and his wife, Ruth (Geeson) Reche, moved to Idaho in the 1970s.
Morgan loved working every day wearing his signature blue hard hat with his beloved dog, Border, by his side. Whether it be installing septic tanks or on a marathon drive delivering trailers and recreational vehicles, they were pilot and co-pilot. Morgan was well known across several states for heavy-duty semi-truck repairs, both in the shop and on the roadside. He owned an auto parts store and repair facility for many years, serving the Melba community. He could build anything out of metal and would radically modify equipment to meet his needs.
Morgan never came across a piece of heavy equipment that he couldn't operate, no matter how unique.
No matter what the work was, he was always very respected for his hard work, tenacity, ethical nature, and honesty.
Morgan is also survived by his son, David Reche (Lori); grandchildren Cory Reche (Melissa) of Boise, Tavis Reche of Eagle, Sophia Gums (Ethan), and Wanona Reavis (Bill); daughters Kerri Thompson [Deland, FL], Danni Reche [Portland, OR], and Kelli Morvillo (John) [Deland, FL]; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Morgan was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Geeson Reche, and daughters Esther Robinson and Debbie Davis.
