Melinda Boschi

Melinda Reid Boschi was born December 7, (Pearl Harbor Day), 1983, and began rocking our world! She was born at Edwards Air Force Base in California to the patriotic family of Karen Ann Danes and William Eugene Reid (Deceased). She is the 4th of 6 children and has a loving relationship with her siblings and their spouses, Calista (Steve) Utter, the late Mariah Reid, Bradford Eugene (Rachel) Reid, LaNita (Joshua) McDonald, and Wesley Earl Reid.

A new chapter of her life’s journey began when she met Aaron Ray Boschi on a blind double date while attending BYU-Idaho. The only problem was that Aaron was not her date. She and Aaron got talking, and the rest was history. They were married September 25, 2004, in the Idaho Falls Temple and sealed for time and eternity. This union grew into the greatest friendship. Aaron brought adventure into her life through hikes in the hills, kayaking, and camping. The covenants they made with the Lord are in full effect as she and her husband endeavor to pattern their lives after Jesus Christ.

Following their marriage, the couple completed their college education and embarked on a new adventure in Wisconsin. They spent a decade building their early life together, living first in Milwaukee and later settling in Brookfield. After ten years in Wisconsin, they returned home to Idaho. Today, they have made their home in Nampa, where they raise their four children: Evelyn Ann, Elizabeth Kay, Carson Ray, and Cole Reid.

From the beginning, Melinda was marked with creativity and musical talent. Much of her talents lay in her hands. Whether it was watercolors, markers, or acrylic paints, her hands crafted beauty with anything they touched. She treasured the time she spent with her mother and sisters, painting, quilting, and creating beautiful memories together. Even in the workplace, she brought her paper calendar to life with handmade designs that brought joy to all who saw them.

With her musical talent, Melinda played piano and Ukulele and was blessed with a beautiful voice. She was a member of the Musettes for three years and was awarded a musical scholarship for voice lessons. She loved show tunes and has performed in productions of “Promise Valley”, “The Sound of Music”, “Bus Stop”, “Annie Get Your Gun”, “Music Man”, and “A Bad Case of Stripes”.

As an avid reader, Melinda much preferred reading a book to watching the movie, unless of course, it was an ‘Old Movie’ because that was always a win. Table games were another favorite pastime , especially at family game night with aunts, uncles and cousins. Aaron and Melinda loved hosting regular games of Dungeons and Dragons, and creating lasting memories with their family and friends.

Melinda had a talent for styling hair into delicate, intricate designs. During Morning family scripture study, she could be found artfully braiding her daughters’ hair in a unique style for the day. As a self-taught photographer, Melinda loved capturing images of loved ones, occasionally taking senior portraits and weddings shoots, becoming quite skillful with her camera. Her favorite subject to photograph was infants. With tender hands, she could mold her subject into a position of the most serene beauty.

In addition to being a mother and homemaker to her family, in 2020, she began her role with Vance Medical where she became the face of the clinic at the front desk. She is known for her kind disposition when greeting patients and treating them as family. She held the hands of people who needed love or just someone to talk to and built relationships with her compassionate and genuine Christlike love. She had a creative approach to making the workplace a fun environment with games and uplifting traditions and built lasting bonds with her coworkers, who became an extension of her family.

Of all her accomplishments, family is her priority and gives her the greatest joy. She will continue to watch over Evie, Lizzie, Carson and Cole and her spirit will always be near. She will be missed by her mother, siblings and their spouses, nieces and nephews, in-law parents and family, and aunts and uncles as well as her co-workers and patients. She was the Lord’s hands. Though Cancer took her from us, we trust in the Lord’s perfect timing and his eternal promises. His is a perfect plan.
