Mary Elizabeth Brown Ryan, 70, of Nampa passed away on February 23, 2024. She was born in Nampa, Idaho to Wayne and Betty Brown (Webb) on December 17, 1953. Following graduation from Melba High School, Mary graduated from Kinman Business University in Spokane, Washington. Mary worked as an accountant for many years for various businesses and retired as the Chief Financial Officer of FastSigns International in Carrollton, TX. Upon her retirement, she returned to Idaho. Mary was known for her abundant gardens and canning, as well as her beautiful sewing, crocheting, and knitting. She had a special knack for making holidays magical, hosting many family functions, and creating delicious meals for every occasion. She was also passionate about genealogy, so much so that for some time a large family tree covering an entire wall in her dining room. Mary is survived by her brothers: Gary Brown of Nampa and Bill Brown of Melba; her sons: Tyler Rhein and Michael Rhein of Nampa; her nieces: Natalie Brown of Tucson, Kathryn Brown of Nampa, and Sarah Ekard of Nampa; and two grandnieces Cora Lynn Ekard and Libby Lou Ekard of Nampa; as well as a large extended family including many beloved cousins. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 29 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd, Nampa, (467-7300) with a viewing from 1 p.m. -2 p.m. prior to the service.
