Marlin F.
Kleinert Jr.
Jun 17, 1945 — Mar 13, 2025
Marlin Frank Kleinert Jr. passed away March 13th, 2025, and went to his true home with his Lord after a long illness. Marlin was born to Marlin Sr. and Lillian Kleinert on June 17, 1945. He was born and raised in Stockton, California. He was the oldest of five children. As a child he loved sports, especially baseball. He loved cowboys and Indians, reading and learning. Marlin loved being a boy scout and really loved going to church. He always wanted to make people laugh. Marlin and Gloria met when he moved next door to Gloria and her mother. They were married December 5, 2008, in Boise, Idaho. Each felt their meeting was a true gift from God and their love was immediate and eternally theirs. Marlin graduated from high school and did attend college. He was a hard worker and always went the extra mile to do any job correctly. Marlin went to a Lutheran Church as a child. He also attended church with Gloria at Pierce Park Baptist Church in Boise. He was curious about life. He loved books, nature, sports, history, and police work. He loved dogs and rescuing them. He was a collector of many things. Marlin was strong, steadfast, and calm in any situation, very sentimental. He was wise and had a wonderful sense of humor and it never waivered through his illness. His faith was a great comfort to him. He is survived by his wife Gloria Kleinert; children: Marlinda Kleinert, Phil and Brenda Elijah, Chris Elijah and Chris Koppes, Kelli Elijah, brothers, Howard (Karen) and Bruce (Barbara); sisters, Nancy (John) and Diana (Steve); grandchildren: Mandy, RJ, Seth, Cody, Matthew, Shelby, Brock and Braxtyn. He is also survived by Marshall and Maria McDaniel, Nancy Nelson and many nieces and nephews. He was so grateful for wonderful neighbors who were more helpful than they will ever know. Also, many praises to the Angels from Idaho Home and Health Hospice. Funeral Services will be held at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Friday, March 28,2025 at 1:00PM.
