Marjorie
Phillips
May 8, 1942 — Oct 8, 2025
Marjorie Anita June was born in Nampa, Idaho, on May 8, 1942, to Sherman Demont June and Alice Faye June. She passed away in her home in Ontario, Oregon, surrounded by her loving children.
Throughout her life, Marjorie was known for her generous spirit and her unwavering support for her family. She loved gardening, reading, and cooking. She also cherished her little dog, Spooky.
Marjorie started out in cosmetology school and soon married DeRoin Francis Spratt at the age of eighteen in September of 1960. They began their family with their first child, Michelle LeAnn, born on June 5, 1961. They were blessed with a son, Michael DeRoin, born on June 23, 1962, and their final bundle of joy, Marylin Marie, born on March 19, 1968.
After divorcing in 1970, Marjorie continued raising her children. She went back to school to become a medical transcriptionist and worked for many years at West Valley Medical Group.
Marjorie married Harry Allen Phillips on June 21, 1991. Their families blended beautifully with the addition of a daughter, Corrina, and a son, Damon. Marjorie also gained four grandchildren: James, Marilee, Nisha, and John, joining the two grandsons she already had, Michael Ryan and Brock.
Marjorie and Allen lived in Baker City, Oregon, for many years before moving to Homedale, Idaho. They later returned to Ontario, Oregon, where they enjoyed life in a beautiful home overlooking the valley.
Marjorie is survived by her children: Michelle McClure and her husband Richard, Michael Spratt, Marylin Spratt and Trent Fortney, Corrina Phillips and her husband Brett Pierce, and Damon Phillips. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Michael and Jennifer McClure, Brock Foster, Marilee Clerget and her husband Brenden, James Fillion and Katya Ramirez, Nisha Phillips, and John Phillips and his wife Sharie. Marjorie had many great-grandchildren, including Anthony and Alex McClure, Austen, Geo, and Alex (Nisha's children), as well as Joshua, Caleb, Zia, Noah, and Zella (John's children). She was able to meet her youngest grandchild, Luci, via FaceTime and had the honor of finding out she was going to be a great grandma again when Marilee called and told her.
