Mai Thi
Truong
d. Mar 30, 2025
In Loving Memory of Mai Thi Truong March 15 1953– March 30 2025
A Life Remembered Mai Thi Truong, age 72, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025.
Born to Lieng Van Thai and Sang Thi Le in Vietnam. In 1979, she immigrated to the United States with her husband, his family, and their 2-year-old daughter. Later, they were blessed with a son. Together as a family, they pursued the American dream, building a life filled with hard work, compassion, and resilience.
Mai worked at Micron Technology for 30 years. Later she was the proud owner of Pho Nouveau, a restaurant that quickly became known for "Grandma's" delicious food, warm hospitality, and the love she poured into every Pho bowl. Through her food, she shared her heritage, generosity, and warmth with everyone.
A tireless worker, Mai lived a life of love and selflessness. Her home was always open, a safe welcoming place for anyone in need. Whether it was a meal, a bed, or a comforting word, she gave without ever expecting anything in return. Her kindness and open-hearted nature touched countless lives.
Mai honored and preserved her culture through the meals she lovingly prepared, the traditional Áo dài dresses she cherished, and the Vietnamese customs she passed down to her family.
During her retirement, she embraced a slower, peaceful pace of life. Gardening brought her joy and peace. She took great pride in the fruits and vegetables she grew, sharing her harvest generously with family and friends. She cherished visiting her friends, spending time catching up, laughing, and creating lasting memories. She also found happiness in fishing, cooking for those she loved, traveling to places, and enjoying the occasional trip to Jackpot. She had a beautiful way of finding joy in life's simple moments, and she shared that joy generously with everyone around her.
Thank you, Mom, for everything you've done for us, for all the love, the sacrifices, and the quiet strength you carried every day. We are forever grateful. Our lives will never be the same without you. Your presence, your warmth, and your love leave a space that no one else can fill. We will carry you with us, always. We love you so much, Má.
