Lucille "Lucy" Midori Toyota, age 83, passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 27, 2016 in Nampa, Idaho due to a stroke. Lucy is survived and lovingly remembered by Kohachi Toyota, her husband of 62 years; their children: Chris (Linda) Toyota, Karen (Allan) Daynes, and Doug (Michele) Toyota; their grandsons: Nick Daynes, David (Analyn) Toyota and Bryan Toyota; their great-grandchildren Derek and Argel; extended family: Janice (Joel) Fuquay, Eugene (Joyce) Lee, and Janet (Milton) Leung; her sisters Dorothy Fujimoto and Lilly Tajii; and many nieces and nephews. The youngest of 7 children, Lucy was preceded in death by her parents Naomichi and Haro Yonemoto; two brothers and two sisters. Lucy had an extraordinary gift when it came to children. She fostered numerous children for nearly 40 years, treating each and every one of them as her own, including a few who still call her "Mom." Her legacy will live through the multiple generations of children she influenced and nurtured; her impact is immeasurable and she will not be forgotten. All who were blessed to know Lucy will remember her for her passion for children, family gatherings, talking with friends, reading, puzzles, watching movies, knitting, and laughing.
