Leola
Stout
d. Apr 19, 2026
Leola (Galloway) Stout, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, was born to Calvin and Leah Galloway on May 17, 1952, in Polson, Montana. She passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of her family. Leola had a deep love for her family, which she expressed in countless meaningful ways. She enjoyed sewing, creating Halloween costumes for her children, Sunday dresses for her daughters, and clothing for their dolls and Barbies. She was also a talented baker who lovingly made many of her children's birthday cakes. She found joy in painting ceramics, bowling with her family, and spending time at the beach. Dedicated to personal growth and service, Leola returned to school while raising her full household of children to pursue a degree in teaching. After moving to Idaho, her passion for teaching led her to become a driver's education instructor, where she taught both in the classroom and behind the wheel, impacting many young lives. Leola was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband, Morris Stout, were sealed in the Alberta Canada Temple and shared 53 years of marriage together. While living in San Diego, she served as a temple worker from the time the temple opened until she moved to Idaho, where she continued her service for an additional three years. Even while traveling, she made it a priority to attend the temple wherever she went. She cherished time spent with others, especially at group birthday celebrations, luncheons with her ministering sisters, and Relief Society activities. In her later days, she was deeply grateful for the visits and phone calls from loved ones when she was no longer able to go out. Leola is survived by her loving husband, Morris Stout, and their children: James, Rabecca, Heather, Daniel, Krystalyn, and Christian, along with many grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous siblings, cousins, and extended family members who will miss her dearly. Leola was preceded in death by her son, Adam.
