Kenneth Ray Redmon was born Sept. 26, 1944, in Cascade, Idaho, to Viola Mary Hotaling and Merle Walter Redmon. After a brief but aggressive illness, he passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 3, 2026.

Kenny grew up in Cascade, Idaho, loving to fish and hunt. He joined the Army in 1961, was injured during service, and was honorably discharged in 1964. He then met the love of his life, Breta LeAnn Field, and was married August 7, 1965, in Meridian, Idaho. They moved to Washington State, where they had their first two children. After spending several years there, they moved back to the Boise Valley, where their next two children were born. He worked road construction his entire career. He had an incredible work ethic and always said if you’re not an hour early, you’re late.

He is survived by his loving wife, Breta LeAnn (Field) Redmon; his children, Tammy Law (Greg), Jack Redmon, Donald Redmon (Candy), and Tina Redmon; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Burge. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Zelma Bezona; a brother, Jerry Redmon; and a great-grandson, Jacob Redmon.

A graveside service will be August 20 at 11:00 am at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery at 10100 Horseshoe Bend Rd., Boise, Idaho, with a memorial service with lunch following at 12:30 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 607 West Locust Ln., Nampa, Idaho.
