Kenneth
Ashcraft
Dec 10, 1940 — Feb 18, 2026
Kenneth Rex Ashcraft was born December 10, 1940, in Nampa, Idaho, to Rex Lyle and Bernice Laree (Nelson) Ashcraft. He was the 2nd child of six children... 4 girls and 2 boys.
He passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in Nampa, Idaho, at Park Place Memory Care Center.
His mother said he was "practically perfect." He was really happy, no matter what happened. He was easy to get along with, and he and his older sister, Letha, had quite a fun time together."
Ken's family lived in several places in Nampa. Then they moved to Bend, Oregon—back to Nampa, --- then to Ontario, Oregon—back to Nampa, then to Burley, and finally moved to Rupert, where he graduated from Minidoka County High School.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a 2-year church mission in Hawaii from 1960 to 1962.
He married Sandra Jean Coffman on June 27, 1963, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They moved to Provo, Utah, where he graduated from the Utah Trade Tech in carpentry in June of 1965. After graduation, they moved to Nampa, Idaho.
Ken was a building contractor—building many beautiful and well-constructed homes in Nampa and surrounding areas. All 7 of his sons were blessed to work and to learn the trade from him—and to follow his strong work ethic.
His life was filled with service to others and service to the Lord. From May 2009 to to November 2010, he and his wife served a church mission in the Philippines and grew to love these lovely, humble people.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra, and 7 sons—Scott (Kim), Rick (Cristina), Chris (Carrie), Bryce (Jaime), Jeremy, Jared, and Brandon. And 3 daughters, Tina (Dave) Oyler, Cyndia (Wade) Douglas, and Kendra (Anthony) Raass; 40 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren; and his 5 siblings, Ron (Judi), Letha Fuller, Dianne (Marty) Riches, Becky (Torsten) Kunkel, and Tauna (Dave) Landrum.
Preceded in death by: Parents—Rex & Bernice Ashcraft, Grandson—Joshua Ashcraft, Sister-in-Law - Jeanne Ashcraft, Brother-in-law - Ron Fuller
