Justin Kass Dunn, 58, returned home to his Heavenly Father on May 11, 2025, due to health complications in Caldwell, Idaho. Justin was born to Gene and Pamela (Welch) Dunn on August 17, 1966, in Rexburg, Idaho. He grew up hunting, fishing, and playing sports. He graduated from Madison High School in 1984 and went on to serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Detroit, Michigan, from 1984 to 1986.

Upon returning from his mission, he attended Rick's College (now BYU-I) and met Cari Smith. They were married on March 7, 1992. They welcomed 3 beautiful children and raised them in Nampa, Idaho. Justin and Cari later divorced in 2019.

Justin loved to support his children in their extracurricular activities, was their biggest supporter, and often told people how proud he was of them. He had a great way of making people laugh, and everyone loved to be around him. Justin's most recent pride and joy were his two grandsons, and he loved spending time with them. He loved to golf and watch sports in his spare time. Justin was always the first one to offer a helping hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his parents, Gene and Pam Dunn; his brothers, Corby and Jason (Heidi); his children, Saydi Van Loo (Joshua), Cutler Dunn (Paige), and Landon Dunn (Destiny); his two grandsons, Chase and Bowen Van Loo; and his niece and nephews, Braxtyn, Parker, Lily, and Ashton Dunn. He left us too soon, and he will be greatly missed
