Joseph Nible

Joseph W. Nible May 4, 1932 – June 13, 2026 Joseph W. Nible, age 94, passed away peacefully of natural causes on June 13, 2026. Joseph was born on May 4, 1932, in Hoxie, Kansas, to William and Dorothy Nible. He was the middle child in a family of seven children. He spent his early years in Kansas before moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado, as a teenager. In 1949, Joseph joined the United States Navy, where he was responsible for fire control equipment used to aim the guns aboard naval ships. Following his military service, he returned to Colorado Springs, where he lived with his first wife and their three sons. After the passing of his first wife, he moved to California, where he married his second wife and welcomed his daughter. Shortly thereafter, the family relocated to Idaho. Following that marriage, Joseph met the love of his life, whom he married in 1973. Together they made their home in Nampa, Idaho, where they shared many happy years until her passing in February 2020. Joseph and his third wife met while working at a mobile home factory and quickly formed a strong and lasting bond. Together, they blended a family of eight children—five sons and three daughters. In recent conversations, Joseph often said that his greatest accomplishments in life were his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A hardworking man throughout his life, Joseph worked as a machinist, mechanic, and maintenance technician. He began working as a teenager and continued until the age of 82. Though dedicated to his work, he especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. His favorite pastimes included fishing, hunting, working on automobiles, reloading ammunition, and target shooting. He also cherished taking drives through the countryside with his beloved wife. Joseph was preceded in death by his three wives and one daughter. He is survived by seven children and more than 40 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom will remember him for his dedication to family, strong work ethic, and love of the outdoors. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 15862 Indiana Avenue, Caldwell, Idaho. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Zeyer Funeral Chapel.
