Jonas Salinas Nava

Jonas Salinas Nava, 48, passed away of natural causes on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in Caldwell, Idaho.

He was born in 1978 in Nampa, Idaho, to Jose and Victoria Nava.

Jonas spent his life surrounded by the love of his family and was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend.

He leaves behind his siblings: Miriam Nava; Mildred Nava; Joe Nava; and Job Nava (Veronica), along with many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Victoria Nava, and his sister, Moraima “Mori” Nava Medina.

Jonas was known for his goofy personality and his ability to make people laugh. He loved spending time fishing, cheering on the Raiders, playing video games, and spending time at the shooting range. One of his biggest dreams was to one day open his own bike shop. He also had a creative side and enjoyed making fishing lures, bracelets, and necklaces, often giving his handmade creations as gifts to family and friends. More than anything, he loved spoiling his nieces and nephews and creating lasting memories with the people he loved. His kind heart, generous spirit, and playful personality will be remembered by everyone who knew and loved him.
