Jerry
Cluff
d. Aug 27, 2023
Jerry Stark Cluff, 73, of Nampa Idaho died at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho on August 27, 2023. He was born in Boise, Idaho on September 27, 1949 to S. Rex and Hilda Cluff, he was the 9th of their 12 children. He graduated from Capitol High School, and then served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Central States Mission. After his mission, he worked in the construction industry for many years.
He married his wife, Roxanna Tillett on February 2, 1971 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were blessed with 4 children.
Jerry had the ability to work in many areas of construction. He was a Master Carpenter, Cabinet Maker, Welder, Painter, and was skilled in making or manufacturing anything that was needed for himself or for family and friends. He worked for Hewlett Packard for nearly 20 years and was valuable for the many skills he brought to the job.
One of his favorite things to do was to go help others. He could be found digging ditches or pulling people out of ditches or building something for someone. Nothing was too small or too large. He was always willing to help others in whatever way was needed. He loved serving and helping other people. He was incredibly strong, and that strength was of great benefit to the many people whose lives he touched. He was honest and had great integrity, a character trait he learned from his father. Jerry loved the outdoors, the mountains. He was in his element fishing, hunting, and exploring. Always interested in finding out where new roads would take him.
He is survived by his wife; and two of his sons, Carlos (Becca) and David (Sarah); and his daughter Sara (Randy); and 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Russell; and granddaughter Evie.
He will be missed for his stories and his sense of humor, but mostly for his willingness to give help and service wherever it was needed.
