It is with heavy and saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Jan Carlo Zuñiga Santoyo on November 14, 2024, at the age of 18. Born in California on January 1, 2006, to Carlos Toledano and Maria de los Angeles Zuñiga. From a really young age, he was curious and eager to learn new things. He loved to share his knowledge with anyone who would listen. What captivated his attention the most were garbage trucks. He would wake up early, run to the window, and watch the garbage truck take the trash away. His fascination grew as he got older, which led to a garbage truck toy collection. Music was always a big part of his life. As a child, he loved to sing along to songs with his parents. His passion for music led him to join the band at Lonestar Middle School. As his talent grew in music, he participated in various bands alongside friends at Nampa High School. He enjoyed playing variations of saxophones and clarinets. Outside of school, he loved playing video games, paintball, and airsoft with friends. Video games were one of his favorite pastimes. If he wasn't playing with friends, he was talking about them or playing them with cousins. With family members, he enjoyed camping, spending time at the lake with Koda, passing time by the campfire, roasting marshmallows, and talking. Jan will be remembered by his strong spirit, big heart, enthusiastic conversations, and passion for music. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who were lucky enough to have known him. Rest in peace, our beloved Jan. He is survived by his parents, Maria and Carlos Zuñiga; and his paternal grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and beloved dog Koda. A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N. Midland Blvd. Nampa, Idaho. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 25, 2024, at St Paul's Catholic Church, 1515 8th St S, Nampa, Idaho. Graveside service will conclude at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens
