Jacqueline M. Nelson (Lamiette), of Nampa Idaho, died after a short illness on October 10, 2025, in Nampa, Idaho. She was born on July 28th 1962 in Lewiston, Maine, the youngest child of Gerard N. Lamiette, Sr. and Gloria B. Lamiette of Hallowell, Maine. She met the love of her life, her best friend and her Knight in Shining Armor, James Webster Nelson, in 1993 in Brunswick, Maine. They married January 28th 1995 for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1981 and Mansfield Beauty Academy in 1989. She attended Southern New Hampshire University, the University of Nevada Reno finally graduating with a BFA in Fine Arts from Boise State University in 2011. She taught at Victory, Liberty and Legacy Charter Schools in Nampa, Idaho, retiring at Liberty Charter School in July 2025. Prior to teaching, which was her passion in life, she owned and operated Mid Coast Art Glass and Restoration of Brunswick, Maine. She was an HR Assistant and a per diem recruiter/benefits specialist at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, Maine. Prior to that she was a Secretary of the Environmental Services and Bio Medical Engineering Departments at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine. She served in many callings as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served on the Board of Directors for Idaho Art Education Association for six years, a non-profit organization that supported the Art teachers of Idaho. Her hobbies included sprint triathlons and 5k's, kayaking, running, biking, hiking, backpacking, rock climbing and spending time with her family at her favorite vacation destination, Driggs, Idaho. She enjoyed long walks on the beach in Maine with her children and grandchildren looking for sea glass and sand dollars and spending time with her two best friends, Deborah Bond of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and Laurie Jaramillo of Westport Island, Maine. She leaves behind her loving husband and longtime companion of 30 years, James Webster Nelson; her three children Christopher B. Morin of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Brian Joseph Morin of Auburn, Maine; Olivia Caroline Nelson of Nampa, Idaho. A daughter-in-law Jessica Mitchell-Morin, three Grandchildren Noah Lawrence Morin, Adelyn Kay Morin and River James Morin of Virginia Beach Virgina; a sister Wendy Elizabeth Lamiette of Gardiner, Maine; her mother Gloria B. Lamiette of Nampa, Idaho; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her Father, Gerard Normand Lamiette, Sr. of Auburn, Maine; a brother, Gerard Normand Lamiette, Jr. of Auburn, Maine; and a sister Holly Ann Lamiette of Auburn, Maine. Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 121 N. Canyon Street, Nampa, Idaho, on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:00 am. Burial will be at the Driggs Cemetery, County of Teton, Town of Driggs, Idaho.
