Ione Zufelt, 84, of Meridian, Idaho, passed away on February 19, 2025. Ione was born on November 26, 1940, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Auvrin Denman "Louis" Alverson and Sarah Vernell Alverson.

Ione is survived by her children, Caren (Bruce), Aaron, Britt (Denise), Wesley (Debbie), Sarah (Chris), Tyrell, and Desiree; 29 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; sister Nancy (Steven); and brother Dennis (Robyn). Ione is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cary; her parents; her brother, Curtis; and sister-in-law, Jolene; her father and mother-in-law, Leland and Dagmar.

In loving memory of Ione, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, whose life was a testament to love, strength, and unwavering dedication. Ione's heart was full of selflessness, kindness, and a profound belief in the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She touched countless lives through her warmth, gentle spirit, and deep faith in God.

A woman of immense patience and grace, Ione found joy in the simple things, like working in her beloved garden, where she spent countless hours tending to her vegetables, fruit, and even flowers—alongside her family. She took great pride in canning, baking, and soap-making during her time in Colorado and Idaho, building a small business that she named Navajo Willow Farm. Her goat milk soaps, with their creative scents and molds, brought her much joy, and she loved sharing her creations at local farmers' markets, where she also sold baked goods and produce from her garden. Her knutty knots, her own special take on cinnamon rolls, will always be remembered with fondness by all who tasted them.

Though Ione faced many challenges, especially after suffering a debilitating stroke on February 15, 2015, her spirit never wavered. Even in the toughest of times, Ione maintained a smile and always insisted that everything was "WONDERFUL." Her resilience, strength, and deep love for those around her will remain in our hearts forever.

Ione's life was one of service, hard work, patience, and an unwavering belief in the good in others. She gave of herself freely, taught by example, and reminded us all to find joy even in the face of adversity. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed, always thought of, and forever cherished.

A viewing will be held at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd, Nampa, Idaho, on March 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Graveside services will follow the next day at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 N Horseshoe Bend Rd, Boise, Idaho, on March 7, 2025, at 1:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held afterward at The Barn on 3023 S McDermott, Nampa ID 83687, at 4:00pm.
