Helen Marcia Jones Bain, known throughout her life as Marcia, was born on February 24, 1939, in Taylorsville, Salt Lake City, Utah, to David and Helen Bennion Jones. She passed away peacefully, with her daughter holding her hand, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in Boise, Idaho.

Marcia's childhood was one filled with family, laughter, music, and activity. Raised in a warm and caring home, Marcia enjoyed a long and loving relationship with her parents, sisters, and extended family. A descendant of Mormon pioneers, Marcia was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her entire life, serving her ward and her community in many capacities.

Marcia caught the eye of her future husband, Robert Eugene Bain (the handsome "Bobby" Bain), at a church dance in San Francisco, and they were married on June 10, 1961, in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. Together they built a beautiful family, welcoming their son David in 1967, daughter Susan in 1968, and daughter Karen in 1969. In 1971 Bob and Marcia moved to Boise, where they planted deep roots and made their home for the rest of their lives. Their family was completed in 1976 with the birth of their youngest daughter, Marci. With a busy home full of children, Marcia truly flourished—motherhood was her greatest joy and most natural calling.

In her later years, Marcia found renewed joy and fulfillment as a grandmother. Her loving influence on her children and grandchildren will forever shape them. Throughout her life, Marcia found a reason to be happy, to laugh and be silly, to celebrate, and to be thankful for family and friends.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, eldest sister Eva, sister-in-law Janet, brother-in-law Melvin, brother-in-law Stephen, and sister-in-law Margie. She is survived by her children David (Dayna), Susan (Daren), Karen, and Marci (Brandon); sisters Cherie and Julie (Reid); and brother-in-law Richard. She leaves 10 grandchildren and dozens of nieces/nephews and great-nieces/great-nephews with a lifetime of wonderful memories.

Services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, June 6th, at the LDS Goddard Stake Center, 8620 Goddard Road, Boise. A viewing will be held at the church from 9:30am to 10:45am prior to the services. Interment will take place Monday, June 8th, at 10:00am at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 N. Horseshoe Bend Rd. in Boise, where she will be laid to rest with Bob. Arrangements are being provided by Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
