Obituary

Heidi Marie Haverfield Neider, 67, passed away on the morning of Friday, November 28, 2025, at her home in Nampa, Idaho, after her courageous battle with cancer. Heidi was born in Weiser, Idaho, on July 1, 1958, the fourth of five children born to her parents, Robert Amos Haverfield and Joyce Elaine Chandler Haverfield. In 1962, the family settled in Missoula, Montana, where Heidi was raised and graduated from Sentinel High School in 1976. After graduation, Heidi attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, before marrying her sweetheart, Clint Martin Neider, on January 25, 1978, in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Heidi and Clint made their home in Nampa, where they raised their six beautiful daughters. They had 21 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild upon her death. Heidi's grandchildren were the pride of her life. She loved to attend their activities and cheer them on, developing a special bond with each one. On top of Heidi's love for her grandchildren, she also had a great love for the outdoors and for animals. In the summer, she loved to be up in the mountains. Riding horses with friends or family was one of her favorite activities. She loved to be active—hiking, bike rides, walking her dogs on the greenbelt, and Zumba classes were also favorite activities. She loved to be in the water, whether it was water skiing on a lake, snorkeling in the warm Hawaiian reefs, or just quick dips in the cold Oregon Coast waters. In the winter, she stayed just as active. She enjoyed snow skiing, snowmobiling, and annual sledding trips with the family, where she would always bring hot cocoa to share. Heidi was also an avid gardener, even becoming a certified Idaho Master Gardener through the University of Idaho. At her home, she cultivated a large vegetable garden, fruit trees, a vineyard, and many flower beds. Over the years, Heidi and Clint created their own little personal oasis in their backyard, which they loved to share with family and friends. As a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Heidi had a deep love for Christ and the gospel. She faithfully served in several callings in the Church throughout the years; among her favorites were serving as an Activity Days leader, a Young Women leader, a visiting teacher, and serving in the temple. Heidi will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her love for family, and her love for Christ—all traits she has passed on to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Clint Neider; their children: Desaree (Aaron) Telford, Andrea Major (Chad Kulow), Cassandra (Hadley) Folkman, Sasha (Nefi) Rodriguez, Serena (Nathan) Thompson, and Jenica (Jay) Bangerter; 21 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and her siblings, David (JoDell) Haverfield, Cindy (Ty) Nedrow, Lona (Peter) Miter, and Kim Haverfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Joyce Haverfield, and her brother, Joel Haverfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7809 Deer Flat Rd., Nampa, ID 83686. The final resting place will be at Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa, ID.
