Gwen Gwilliam Openshaw Hallman, 82 of Caldwell, Idaho passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. She was born May 6, 1940, in Boise, Idaho. She was the oldest child of Thomas and Irene Gwilliam. Gwen married Ronald Openshaw in 1960. They moved from Nampa, Idaho to Modesto, California. Together they raised their three children. Gwen enjoyed being a secretary in the Modesto City Schools system for many years until retiring.

After separating from Ron Openshaw, she moved back to Nampa, Idaho, and devoted her time to caring for her mother and her severely disabled brother. She married Floyd Hallman and made Caldwell, Idaho their home.

Gwen is survived by her three children, Catherine Sphan, Jody Bean Schmitz, and Scott Openshaw. Her greatest joy was her 11 grandchildren and 8 great-children. Gwen's children would like to thank the wonderful staff at Aspen Creek Senior Living in Caldwell, Idaho for their tender care. A memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 11 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building 15782 Farmway Road, Caldwell, Idaho 83607.
