Obituary

Gladys Rose Maucher Webb passed away peacefully at 6:40 p.m. on July 17, 2025, in her Boise, Idaho, home of 25 years—just as she wished—at the age of 73.

Gladys grew up moving frequently as her father's work took the family to various places. In her teenage years, they settled in Salt Lake City, where she attended South High School. This was during her junior year of high school. She attended some classes with Michael Scott Webb. They fell in love and were married the spring after graduation on April 13, 1971.

As the devoted spouse of a U.S. Army service member, Gladys lived in many places around the world, including three tours in Germany—her favorite place besides home. She often said, "Home is where your heart is," and after a life full of travel, she and Michael settled in Boise. They were married for 54 years, sharing a life of deep commitment, family, and love.

Gladys was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spent countless hours in genealogy and family history research—a lifelong passion. She was also a creative spirit who found joy in arts and crafts, especially crocheting. Her favorite time of year was Christmas, and one of her most cherished traditions was making handmade ornaments for her children and grandchildren each year. Though they sometimes arrived a little late, each ornament was a labor of love and is treasured by those who received them.

She also loved music, especially pieces performed by her husband, children, and grandchildren. Listening to their work filled her with joy and pride. Gladys spent her life in service to her family—as a homemaker, a scout leader, a mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin, and friend.

Gladys is preceded in death by her parents, Stella LaRee Brown Maucher and Paul Maucher; her brother, Charles Maucher; and two grandchildren, Michaela Criswell and Chad Bollman.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael S. Webb; her five children: Stephanie Ader (married to Randy Ader), Johnathan Webb (partnered with Jill Padilla), Kenneth Webb (married to Kevyn Ewton), Nathaniel Webb (married to Melissa Sharon), and Melinda Bollman (married to Robert Bollman); her siblings, Jolene Mitchell and Roy Maucher; as well as many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Her legacy of faith, creativity, and love will continue in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
