George "Harvey" Smith II, 72, of Star passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Life Care of Boise care center in Boise. Harvey was born to George and Joyce Smith in Van Nuys, California but soon moved to Sebastopol, California where he lived most of his life. Harvey was married to Evelyn Smith for 24 years. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Smith; his eight children: Larisa Nelson, Tait Smith, Matthew Soderling, Jaylyn Gallagher, Tyler Soderling, Secret Smith, Kody Smith, Kayla Smith; 13 grandchildren: Tanner Walsh, Kylee Nelson, Tatum Nelson, Kendall Nelson, Loren Smith, Seth Smith, Kaitlyn Soderling, Morgan Soderling, Lillie Soderling, Duke Gallagher, Auburn Gallagher, Blake Gallagher, Kyhler Smith; and many other family members and friends. Harvey loved antique cars, waterfowl, landscaping his yard, growing things and his work as a fire chief for Graton, California, and his work as an emergency responder for the Governor's Office of Emergency for the state of California.
