Ezra Max Hatch, 85, of Taylor, Arizona, peacefully passed away of natural causes on May 11, 2014 in Nampa, Idaho. Most of his children and his wife Jean were present as he moved on to a joyful reunion with his son Dennis, family and friends. Funeral services will be held at the LDS Chapel at 700 E. Lovelake Road in Taylor, AZ on Friday, May 16, at 4:00 p.m. with a viewing at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Taylor Cemetery. Funeral arrangements in Arizona are being handled by Owens-Livingston Mortuary. Max was born in Taylor on July 27, 1928. He graduated from Snowflake Union High School and continued on to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Michigan Great Lakes Mission. He was married to his beloved Jeanie on December 1, 1956 in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple. They were married for 57 years. He dedicated his life to his family. Max will be remembered for his mentoring youth into men, his love for service to all who knew him, and his unfailing dedication to Jean and his family. He worked at the Snowflake paper mill mainly as a maintenance superintendent, retiring in 1990. He served three LDS missions with his favorite companion, Jean, in Portland, OR, Nauvoo, IL and Florianopolis, Brazil. They also spent several years together as temple workers in both the Mesa and Snowflake LDS Temples. Following their missions, the remainder of Max's life was spent with family. He very much enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with them. Max is survived by his wife Jean, Children: Bryan, Sheryl, Cindy and Jack and their families. One son Dennis preceded Max in death.
