Obituary

After 14 years of widowhood, Evelyn J. Pritchett was reunited with her husband Robert W. Pritchett on Thursday, June 11, 2015 following an extended illness. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Zeyer Funeral Chapel in Nampa, Idaho, 467-7300. To honor her life a graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 19 at Canyon Hill Cemetery, 2024 North Illinois Avenue in Caldwell. Evelyn Jean Small was born in 1932 to Cecil and Mabel Small in Reno, Nevada. The youngest of three children, Evelyn had loving parents and enjoyed close relationships with her brother Donald and sister Beulah throughout her life. She often shared stories with her grandchildren about how Don always watched out for his sisters, purchasing their prom dresses, a piano, and other gifts. In 1948, Evelyn met and married Robert "Bob" Pritchett in her hometown Reno. They raised four children: daughters Sharon and Nona followed by sons Glen and Cecil. The family lived in Nevada and Montana. Evelyn worked as a homemaker and was employed at a dry cleaners where she trained other employees. After 10 year old Sharon began attending Primary at the invitation of a friend, Evelyn and Sharon were baptized members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on the same day. The rest of Evelyn's family soon followed. Evelyn enjoyed attending church and was active in the Council LDS Ward for 30 years. In her free time, she loved to camp, can food, play games, especially Yahtzee and 7-Up, and paint ceramics. She especially enjoyed passing on her love of ceramics to each of her grandchildren who knew that every time they visited, Grandma would have a project picked out especially for them to paint and fire. In retirement, Evelyn and Bob were never ones to sit still for very long. They moved to Council, Idaho in 1981. Evelyn and Bob loved to travel. They frequently hooked up their travel trailer to their old blue Chevy pickup and toured the country, including one memorable summer of travel throughout the eastern United States and trips to visit their grandchildren. They also managed condos in McCall, Idaho during the summer tourist season. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Mabel Small; husband Bob Pritchett; brother Don Small; sister Beulah Richardson; son Glen Pritchett, and son-in-law Bob Brown. She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Sharon Brown, Nona (Thomas) Jones, and Cecil Pritchett_ stepchildren: Debbie Clark, Don Wischmann, Rick Wischmann, Ron Wischmann, Jim Wischmann, Service: Friday, June 19, 2015 10:00 a.m. Canyon Hill Cemetery 2024 North Illinois Avenue Caldwell, Idaho
