ELLIS LOREN FOUTS
Ellis Loren Fouts passed away peacefully at home in Nampa, ID of natural causes on June 23, 2026—his 89th birthday.
Ellis was born to Leslie Fouts and Maggie Elma (Young) Fouts on June 23, 1937, in Harveyville, KS. He was the 5th of 8 children. The family later moved to Idaho where he attended Filer, ID schools and graduated from Filer High School in 1955.
Ellis married Virginia Ambroz on December 28, 1958. Four daughters were born to this union. They later divorced.
Ellis married Myrna Eskelin on June 18, 2005. Ellis's hobbies throughout his life included reading, hunting, and fishing. The last 20 years, though, he was a devoted fan of golf. He and Myrna enjoyed many golf outings together.
Ellis was preceded in death by a daughter, Keri Jo; his parents; 6 siblings: Earl, Marvin, and Don Fouts; Zella Robbins; LaVerda Palmer; Linda Garrett; and Myrna's grandson, Brian Schwarz.
He is survived by his wife, Myrna, and Myrna's children, Brent Schwarz and Kelly Wolfgang (Terry). Her grandchildren: Lacey Kincheloe (Jeremy), Cassidy Schwarz, Robert White, and Karli Wolfgang, and her great-grandson, Leo Kincheloe. He is also survived by his 3 daughters: Gena Josephson (Wally), Joni Brewster (Jeff), and Marne Maki (Chad). His grandchildren: Nathan Brewster (Arianne), Ellyse Brewster, Chandra Maki-Montgomery (Nixxon), and Alexis Maki; his great-grandson, Anders Montgomery; and numerous nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will be held July 9, 2026, at 1:00 pm at United Church of the Brethren, 11030 W Orchard Ave, Nampa, ID.
