Obituary

Obituary for Debra Marie Edgeman August 15, 1961 – February 3, 2025 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debra Marie Edgeman on February 3, 2025, due to complications from surgery. Debra was born on August 15, 1961, in Torrance, California. She was the eldest of five children. She grew up in California, attending Antelope Valley High School before earning her GED. In her early years, Debra met Dennis Matthew Edgeman, and they quickly formed a deep bond of friendship. That friendship blossomed into love, and on May 10, 1997, they were married in Boise, Idaho. Together, they shared a life filled with love and joy, living in several states, including California, Kansas, Colorado, and Idaho. Debra dedicated much of her life to the Home Health field, a career that reflected her caring nature and desire to help others. She had a heart as big as her spirit, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. No matter the challenge, Debra believed in her ability to offer comfort, guidance, and hope to anyone who was struggling. Above all, Debra's greatest accomplishment and pride were her family. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether it was watching movies, playing cards, or enjoying a friendly board game. Debra had a gift for making others laugh, her sense of humor bringing warmth to all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis Edgeman; her parents, Joyce and James Ockert; her children: Melissa Hiegel, Tim Edgeman, Matthew Edgeman, Michelle Edgeman, and Marcie Edgeman; as well as 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, step-father, numerous aunts and uncles, and both sets of grandparents. A celebration of Debra's life will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 11:00 am at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N. Midland Blvd., Nampa, Idaho. A viewing will take place prior to the service at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to your favorite charity in Debra's memory. Debra's legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be greatly missed.
