David was the only child of Lila and Howard Frickey of Nampa, Idaho. He went to school at Roosevelt Elementary, Central Junior High, Nampa High, and graduated from BSU with his degree in Drafting and Architectural Design. He also worked in the engineering department at JR Simplot Caldwell, from 1983 until 1998. He then started his own business, D &D Drafting and Design. Dave also worked for IESM in engineering until he retired. Some of his personal interests included his love to fish; he took his last ocean fishing trip with his family, July of 2022. Dave also loved hunting, flying RC planes, drag racing, oval track racing and traveling in the motor home. He loved family gatherings and especially loved big family barbeques.
