Darlene Wilcox Obituary Born July 6, 1932, in Valentine Nebraska, died October 23, 2023 in Homedale, Idaho. She moved with her family to Nampa, Idaho in 1933. She graduated from Nampa High School, then married her first husband Richard (Bud) Acres in 1947. They divorced and she married Floyd M Patton in 1951. She moved to Seattle, Washington and had their first child Scott J Patton, 1952. They then moved to San Jose, California and lived for the next couple years. They moved around and worked on ranches in Oregon and Washington. They moved to Weiser, Idaho and had their second child Christina K Patton (Richardson), then they moved to Star, Idaho. Later the family moved to Caldwell, Idaho and Darlene ran the String Buster's Cafe. In 1960 they moved to Nampa and had their final child Teresa M Patton. Darlene divorced Floyd Patton and married Jack Machos in 1971. She divorced Jack Machos in 1975. Her favorite hobbies were bowling and going to Jackpot to gamble at the casinos. She finally met the love of her life Glenn O Wilcox in 1983. She moved to Pocatello, Idaho with Glenn. They fished, gambled and bowled together until his death 1994. Darlene continued to live in Pocatello, until health issues caused her to move to Wilder in 2021, to live with her son. Then she was moved to Owyhee Nursing home in 2023. During the time in Nampa Darlene rode for the Snake River Stampeders, played Softball on the Nampa traveling softball league and bowled on various bowling leagues. Darlene was a dedicated bowler; she went to nationals every year and was in the Professional Bowlers Association for 50 years. She assisted in various bowling league committees for Sagies Bowling Lanes Nampa Bowling Lanes and Tough Guy Lanes in Pocatello. She is preceded in death Phillip Francke(father), Harriette (Landon) Francke(mother), Dudley Francke(brother), Dorothy (Francke) Stringer(sister), and her husbands- Bud Acree, Floyd Patton, Jack Machos, and Glenn Wilcox. Darlene's children still living are: Scott Patton in Wilder Idaho, Teresa Patton in Caldwell Idaho and Chris Richardson in Rapid City South Dakota, along 12 grandkids, 15 great grandkids.
