Obituary

Darin Edward West (Big D) passed away on January 2, 2023. Darin was born in Yakima, Washington on May 20, 1968. He later moved to Idaho with his family where he went to school and later joined the Navy and traveled around the world. He worked construction running cranes for over 20 years. He was very good at what he did when it came to running cranes. He was also a volunteer firefighter in Lewiston and Notus, Idaho. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing, camping, riding atv's , snowmobiling, and of course his Harley. Some of his best memories was bird hunting with his nephew Robert (Bubba) and his dog Coop. On October 10, 2003, he married Glenda Lewis. This came with a ready-made family. Which he embraced with his whole heart.

He is survived by his mother, Darlene Himerich; stepfather, Merlin Himerich; brother, Robert Renteria; fiance, Kasey Freelove; sister, Sharlene Deverenx; brother, Douglas Heaton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and stepchildren. He also had 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by grandparents Vernon and Grace Peterson and Uncle Vern Peterson.
