Christopher Alan Fay was born August 5, 1971, in Nyssa, Oregon to Marlene Withers and Howard Webster. He grew up in Nampa and participated in the Special Olympics in Middle School and High School where he and Alan were in the same running race. They decided to tie, but Alan won by ½ ". He graduated from Homedale High School in 1990. When Chris was 21 he went to live with Betty, Shawn and Alan Ostyn. He volunteered at Nampa High in the sports dept. by running score boards for soccer and softball. He also helped with Bingo at the Nampa Senior Center and Grace Living Retirement Home. Chris liked country music and often chose 101.9 which was the "Bull" He loved watching WWE wrestling and could tell you about all the wrestlers. Chris loved helping people and telling jokes. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held the office of Elder and served in many callings. On Facebook he once wrote, "Hey, do you know the word JOY has a meaning? J is for Jesus, who should come first. Then the letter O, stands for thinking of others. The Y stands for being kind to yourself. Once you have all three then you will have joy the rest of your life." Chris died Feb. 9, 2024, in Nampa, Idaho at the age of 52. He is survived by his brother Ricky Fay and wife Krista, his nieces and nephews: Kaleb, Alison, Keenan, Lyla, Kanyon, Mishra, Karson, Konner all of Tennessee, Step Father Howard Fay of Florida and adopted Mom Betty Ostyn, adopted brother Alan Ostyn of Nampa and other cousins in the Treasure Valley. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
