Obituary

Charlene Louise Osborne, 83, passed away in Nampa, Idaho, on November 14, 2024. She was born February 28, 1941, in Boise, Idaho to Charles and Dorothy Silliman. She joined her three older brothers on the family farm on N. 5 Mile Road and graduated from Meridian High School in 1959. On March 18, 1960, at the Ustick Baptist church she married Hubert Osborne in a marriage that spanned 64+ years. Charlene, or simply "Mom" for her immediate family, excelled as a homemaker with floors clean enough to eat off—this actually happened. She was never a physically strong woman and always took pride in her appearance. She would not answer the door without putting her lipstick on. In 1983, Charlene and Hubert bought a dairy from George & Della Day near Nampa, Idaho. She assisted in developing the dairy into a national and international breeding farm with their first A1 bull named Big Bucks. On retirement from the dairy in 1999, she enjoyed her dream home in Nampa and traveled extensively with her husband. Charlene was proud of the education and accomplishments of her children: Patrick, Carmen, and Wendy; and grandchildren: Bryson (deceased), Merenci, Sierra, Kaelan, Secorra, and Ethan. A specials thanks goes to her granddaughter, Sierra, and the staff at Cascadia for their care in the last few months of her life. We will miss you Mom! A Celebration of Charlene's Life will be held at 4pm, Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N. Midland Boulevard Nampa, Idaho.
