Obituary

Brian Clark Jensen, age 51, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 10, 2026.

Brian was born on January 7, 1975, in Boise, Idaho, to Marie and Max Jensen. He was the youngest of a blended family of 8. He was preceded in death by his father, Max Jensen.

Brian grew up in Boise, Idaho, and graduated from Capital High School in 1993. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Antonio, Texas. He then earned his BA in Family and Consumer Sciences from Brigham Young University, his MBA from Boise State University, and his DMD from the University of Kentucky. Brian went on to practice dentistry as a partner at Lighthouse Dental, where he cared deeply about his patients and the community he served.

On December 18, 2004, Brian was married for time and all eternity to the love of his life, Tamara Lyn Anderson, in the Boise Temple. Together they built a home centered on faith, family, and service.

Brian loved the outdoors and found joy hiking mountains and visiting national parks, with a goal to visit each one. In his lifetime he was able to visit 49 of the 63 national parks. He also enjoyed reading, working in his shop, and watching sports—especially when cheering on his children or his alma mater, BYU.

More than anything, Brian's greatest pride and joy was his family. He was an attentive and present father, supporting his children in their activities and celebrating their accomplishments. Whether attending games, performances, or everyday moments, Brian made sure his family knew they were his highest priority. In recent years, he began enjoying a new phase of life as a grandfather. His granddaughter affectionately gave him the nickname "Pa J," which he loved.

Brian was an extraordinary disciple of Jesus Christ. He was a compassionate listener and deeply sensitive to the promptings of the Spirit. He was known for his meek and gentle nature, yet he was fearless and steadfast in his convictions. With wisdom and unwavering integrity, he was a man others could trust without hesitation. Brian had a remarkable awareness of the needs of others and was always eager to serve, offering quiet acts of kindness and support wherever they were needed.

Brian was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served faithfully as a Bishop and Stake Young Men's leader, touching the lives of many through his leadership and example. He had a deep love for missionary work and was the biggest supporter of his sons Landon, currently serving a mission in Germany, and Sawyer, eagerly preparing to serve.

Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Tammy; his children, Corinne (Parker), Landon, Sawyer, Hannah, and Parker; his mother, Marie Jensen; and his grandchildren, Ellie and Jace.
