Obituary

Bobby "Bob" DeWayne VanZant, 66, of Meridian passed away March 9, 2016, in a Boise hospital, after an extended illness. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, in the Wilder Cemetery, 20431 Batt Corner Rd., Wilder, ID. Arrangements are under the direction of Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa. 467-7300 Condolences may be expressed at zeyerfuneralchapel.com. Bob was born Feb. 15, 1950, at Clinchport, Virginia, to Thomas Clyde and Ruth Marie England VanZant. He was raised and educated in Homedale, ID. He learned and became a welder extraordinaire. He built wrought iron railing, fencing and entry gates at a farm in Wilder. He later fabricated onion harvesters. He eventually became a sales rep. for Sheehan's and Norco Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ethel Pearce. He is survived by a sister, Kate Chambers of Chandler, AZ and a special nephew, Michael Pearce of Meridian, ID. and many nieces and nephews and special friends too many to list. Although Bob didn't have any children, all of his friends' children were family to him. Service: Saturday, March 12, 2016 11:00 a.m. Wilder Cemetery 20431 Batt Corner Road Wilder, Idaho
