Betty Delores Spitznogle Frans of Boise, Idaho passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 9, 2023. She was 90 years old. Betty was born in Sutherland, Nebraska on January 11, 1933, to Virgil Spitznogle and Lucille Craig Spitznogle. She was raised in Nampa, Idaho and graduated from Nampa High School in 1951. Betty met Victor Lowen Frans and they were married on February 2, 1953, in Fairbanks, Alaska. Betty and Victor were blessed with six children. Three girls and three boys. Along with raising her large family, Betty also found time to volunteer with the Family Services Program and was honored by the Mountain Home Air Force Base Commander in 1963 for her role as Family Services Coordinator for six years of service. Something she was very proud of. After Victor retired from the Air Force in 1970, they moved to Boise, Idaho and Betty began working at Oakley Auto Parts as a bookkeeper until she retired. Betty and Victor then began to travel and enjoyed square dancing with the Liberty Squares, and belonged to the Rolling Eagles Good Sam's Club until Victor's death in May of 2007. Betty enjoyed quilting and made several wonderful quilts. Betty leaves behind three daughters and two sons. Donna Easley (Mike) of Nampa, ID, Victor Frans Jr. of Horseshoe bend, ID, Linda McCaffrey of Vancouver, WA, James Frans (Vicki) of Boise, ID, Cynthia Wunder of Nampa, ID. 11 Grandchildren and 19 Great – Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Victor Frans. Her parents, Virgil and Lucille Spitznogle. Her brother, Kenneth Spitznogle. One son, Britt Michael Frans in 1973, Grand-daughter, Heather Frans in 1983 and Daughter-in-law, Karen Frans in 2018.
