Belva Tomlinson Obituary Belva June Tomlinson, also known as Bobbie Tomlinson, peacefully passed away on October 9, 2023, in Meridian, Idaho, at the age of 90. Belva was born on April 7, 1933, in Cardwell, Missouri, to her parents. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Belva led a remarkable life, traveling to various places around the world alongside her husband, William (Tom), who served in the Air Force. Despite her adventures, she found the most joy in establishing roots and creating a loving home for her family. After retiring, Belva dedicated her time to volunteering at her church, where she prepared dinners for the Youth Group. She was also a Deacon and always had a warm smile and welcoming nature for everyone she encountered. Belva had a gift for storytelling and could vividly recall memories from her past, making them feel like they happened just yesterday.
Belva is survived by her loving children Linda Tomlinson, Sharon Churchman, David Tomlinson, and Donald Tomlinson. She was also a cherished grandmother to Letitcia Pruitt, Kara Churchman, Michelle Churchman, Philip Tomlinson, Nathanael Tomlinson, Chase Tomlinson, and Sydney Tomlinson. Additionally, Belva leaves behind her great-grandchildren Delbert Jimenez, Alberto Lopez, Roberto Lopez, and Justice Pruitt; Kjerstine, Kynlee, Cannon, David, Kylo and Javier Tomlinson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William H. Tomlinson, her son William H. Tomlinson Jr, her grandson Joshua Tomlinson, as well as her siblings and parents.
Belva's career spanned 19 years at the Department of Employment, where she made valuable contributions. She also pursued higher education at Sacramento Junior College, further enriching her knowledge and skills.
A woman of faith, Belva found solace and worshiped at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Boise, Idaho. Her faith was an integral part of her life and provided her with strength and guidance.
In her leisure time, Belva enjoyed watching tennis matches and indulging in a good book. She cherished moments spent with her friends and family, always ensuring they felt loved and welcomed.
A memorial service to honor Belva's life will be held on November 3, 2023, at 1:00pm at Southminster Presbyterian Church, located at 6500 W. Overland Rd., Boise, ID 83709. The Zeyer Funeral Chapel in Nampa, ID, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
Belva June Tomlinson, or Bobbie as she was affectionately known, was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. Her memory will forever be cherished, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all those who knew her.
